After all the rehearsals we finally recorded the song. It was so much fun! The microphone captures the sounds of your voice and sends it to the computer where it is edited. The edition of a song is called "mixing". We learned a lot today! I hope our friends in Brazil like it!
We got a challenge: to translate a Brazilian song into English. The song is from Fernanda Sander, a prize winner singer who composes songs for children, she wants to release a bilingual CD and asked for our help! We then decided to translate the Brazilian song into English. We used google translator. It is fun to do that! The song has now to be tried with the original melody to see if our words are good... This is how it was before, in portuguese:
O Caracol O caracol, vai caracolando Carretel desenrolando O que borda o caracol Em plena luz do sol This is how we translated it: The Snail The little snail, today is sliding Like a string unwinding Why is the snail sewing When the sun is shinning down "It is nice, and soft and gentle, like a lullaby" |
